e300d 1995 theft alarm
My e300d has developed an intermittant alarm with the driver side door. Read all the posts regarding potential problems. I understand that I might be able to disarm the alarm on the door by removing the cable to the door lock. This is apparently covered by one of the door panel circular rubber covers in the jam. If I remove this cable, does it just diasable only the door alarm sensor?
I have read that the "Becker" alarm module is under the passenger floor. My black box has two cables connected. If I disconnect the black box (both cables) the blinking light on the radio still blinks and I can not start the car. Not sure if this black box is the alarm control. I saw one post that mentioned removing the cable on the top further away from the floor on this black box. I haven't tried just removing the top cable. Is the black box on the left side of the passenger floor really the alarm control? Can anyone provide me an answer to either disable the lock sensor or the entire alarm system? This is a factory installed alarm....thanks, Dick |

IF you disconnect the alarm system the starter inter-lock relay must also be by-passed. You can either jump 2 wires at the control unit OR remove the relay & install a jumper wire there.

more information is needed
Where is the starter inter-lock relay located? Which control unit are you refering to? Putting a jumper in place would be pretty easy once I know which pins to jump. Please provide more detailed info on the location and module etc. As the interim solution, I dis-connected the driver door key plug (three pronged plug). I assume this will just deactive the door sensor and leave the alarm system turned off but I could be wrong on this.
