I putting a different rear on my '84 190E 2.3 automatic and the ratio is different (3.42 from a diesel) than my stock US ratio(I think its 3.23).
Where is the gear to change to correct the speedometer reading? Is it at the tranny? Is it in the speedo?

There is a gear set in the tranny, but I have never tried to calibrate. I guess I would go and ask a speedo shop.
Steve Brotherton? Are you there?
