Angry W126 Window Grief... Help!

So, yesterday I rolled down my back window. I went to put it back up, nothing happened. I heard a click when I pushed the button, so I know the electrical is okay.

I tried opening up my door panel, but I couldn't get it completely off. I got it open enough to look in side with a flash light and find that a little plastic white piece had broken in two. It looks like the part that runs in the rail.

I order new ones, but this looks painful to repair. Any suggestions on how to get the new ones in?

Window rollers? You can get them here at Fastlane just click on the "Buy Parts" tab.

They are not that bad to put in, however there is some time involved.

the trick is knowing what to unfasten on the door panel. dont pry it off cause after unfastening the door pull and the door latch you have to lift it straight up. if you pry it you will break the plastic lugs.

dont ask how i know this!

I think we call it slide jaw. Do a search for how to install/replace those little pieces of plastic. Not necessarily difficult...you just have to be patient.

As far as the panel goes....make sure you remove the door handle, and the opener, if you haven't done so already (not sure how far you got).

I have the panel free all the way around, it's just the handle left attached. I can't find any screws that can get it off. To I have to de-attach it from the inside of the panel?

You will need to prise out the black plastic piece of trim underneath the door lacth handle, the phillips head screw is hidden by it, very easy, quite a pliable piece of plastic.

Cheers
