126 Heater core information needed

Hello everyone,
I need a little help again. I'm trying to diagnose my heat problem, I have very little heat. The engine temperature is normal and I can't see any tears in my monovalve diaphram. I would like to bypass it just to be sure that I haven't missed a tear. My problem is that there are 3 hoses going to/from the heater core. 2 from the monovalve and 1 to the block (return) I am wondering if you could explain what the deal is with the 2 "incoming" hoses?
Thanks
Corey

pull off the plug to the monovalve.this should give you full heat[it needs power to keep it closed]if your heat now improves you know that it is either the push buttons or more likely the temperature regulator relay[underglove box screwed to airduct].
