i am back with my 560sel 1990 model. at idle and lower speeds under 40mph i get a shaking or vibration in the car on acceleration. after i release the pedal it stops and is not present at higher speeds. so is this old motor mounts?

I had the same problem with my 1990 420 SEL, I replaced the motor mounts 171,000 and the problem is gone. After they were replaced the engine came up about an inch! They definitley were toast.

appreciate that, i have read that some times the engines slips backward does this happen a lot? you do have to losen up the engine shocks right?

changed the motor mounts, boy they were horrible. on was broken in half and the other was caved in. did alot to smooth the ride. will do the flex disc this weekend
