w124 central locking problem.
I just replaced the vacuum pump on my '95 e320 and it operates the locks now. Only problem is when I lock/unlock the driver's side door now, it doesn't activate/deactivate the alarm system. But, the trunk and the passenger's door locks do activate/deactivate the alarm (BTW, I also have an aftermarket remote and it doesn't work at all). Everything worked fine before the pump went out.
Any suggestions on how to get the passenger door lock to work properly with the alarm? Thanks! |

Answer
Please check the part number of the old vacuum pump against the new one.
If you where given the wrong unit, it would be the simple answer. Have a great day.
