1991 500sl transmittion

Hello

I need some help. I have just had the trans on my 500sl done. Everything check out. All the pressures and so on. The box works fine until the car gets warm. The problem I have is this. When I slow down to just about a stop and sometimes to a stop and then press the gass, the car will not take gear right away. The revs go up but the car will not move. If I let it come to idle at standstill then it normaly takes again and if I rev the motor up, it will take with a high rev bang. It does not do it all the time either. The mech is going nuts trying to sort this out. Any comments would be great.

Thanks

Craig

Low fluid level or a leaking, defective B2 seal/ piston, too much clearance in the B2. Ask your mechanic if he used the B2 piston with the “T” SEAL.

What were the symptoms of the transmission before the rebuilt.

Hi Steve

Thanks for comming back to me. One of the modulator valves had a hole in it so the engine sucked up the oil from the trans. The box started to slip, even after new modulator fitted and oil replaced.
