Remove/Replace Instrument Cluster on 2000 CL500?

What is involved in removing the instrument cluster on the 2000 CL500? Mine is defective and before I give the dealer cart blanche, I want to find out if they have to remove the steering wheel. If so, I may want to try another dealership because this one isn't good about little details. Thanks.
