I meant the piece surrounding, or encapsulating, the shifter pattern. I had previously removed all the other parts, including the wood trim. I just wanted to clean the shifter window, so the letters are clearer--and cleaner.
I'll try your suggestion and work with a small flat screwdriver.
So the "tabs" are on the right and left side, not the front and back. Right?
