About to turn 200K, any recommended maintenance items?
My 96 E320 is about to turn over to 200K miles and I was wondering what maintenance/preventative maintenance items I need to do.
Any and all info would be appreciated.

Look at the flex disks, if they have not been previously replaced, then replace them.
I think that at this point there are things like timing chain, suspension parts, etc., that need attention to, or at least looking into. Other than that, just follow your regular maintenance schedule. I have a 1989 300TE that recently turned over 200k miles. Previously I owned a 1991 420SEL that I sold with 250k miles and a 1984 300SD that I sold with over 340k miles. I did just regular, routine maintenance, except for the big ticket items. Good luck on your milestone.

Yes, original trans and the engine has never been opened.
I have replaced my front shock, replacing the rear shocks in the next week or so.

Wow, that is awesome. Seriously. If you've gotten that much out of suspension pieces, it's beyond time for replacement of rubber bushings and the flex disc. I would indeed match up some new shocks for the rear. Resistor tips/caps for spark plugs are ready to be replaced by now as well. Inspect the control arms and make sure they are in good shape.
All my front bushings/bearings were done at 70k/8 years, flex disc around 80k, resistor tips at 85k. Most of these items are age-related more than wear, so at your mileage and age, I'd say you would be smiling when you drive it after replacing these parts. It will make a difference, and a nice birthday present for your 210

96 E320 Thats the 210 Chasis i think. Those control arm bushings usually only go about 100K miles and they are shot. Also check the Vibration dampener (Crankshaft Pulley)if you have not ever did that repair.

At this point, you simply keep up on repairs as needed and replace what needs replacing. There's not much more you can do beyond the published scheduled maintenance. The car will tell you what needs to be replaced.
