C220 Air Conditioning
While driving, the "EC" light on the A/C panel came on. According to the manual, the "EC" indicates the a/c is running on "economy mode". Since the C220 has automatic temp control, I am unable to "disengage" the "EC" button - it stays on!
It was working before...When I set the auto temp to be at 72 degrees (or less), I can feel cold air which indicates the a/c is working and when i press the "EC" button on the a/c panel, I would just get normal outside air. But now whatever I do the the "EC" button, it remains lit. All the other buttons (eg recirc, defrost, defogger, etc) are working. Has anyone ever experienced this problem?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

Do a search using my user name and economy light and you'll see what fixed mine.

c220 Air conditioning (econmy light)
Thanks Len, but i couldn't find your previous post on how you solved the problem. I did see other posts you made and you mentioned it might be the temp sensor (is that the posting??). Is the temp sensor inside the car or under the hood? Thanks again.
