92 300E temp sensor question

I have what appear to be 3 temp sensors in my cylinder head, a 4 pin, a 2 pin and a 1 pin. Can anyone tell me what the 1 pin sensor is for, and does it have any influence on fan operation? Anyone know if it's available through FastLane? I can't find it.
