Just pull them out. The clip on the injector holds everthing in place.

You'll need to remove the injector pipes first. Then, clean the area around the injectors and pull them out. It would be best to get new holders and seals because they get hard and they are cheap. Push the injectors in until they click.

While you're in there, inspect the breather hoses, from the rear passenger cam cover and the short pipe to the underside of the air cleaner. It was clogged on my 420SEL. Then, check the hose at the front of the drivers side cam cover and then make sure the small hole at the bottom of the air bypass holder that the hose attaches to is not clogged. Use a small pin, the end of a small drill or the sharp end of a test light to clean this small hole. These are part of the engine blowby ventilation system. They must be clean or excessive pressure will build up inside the engine and push the seals out causing oil leaks.

On top of the cooling system bypass 'pipe', cast into the intake manifold at the front or it, there are two vacuum switches. Over time the small plastic connectors on top where the vacuum lines attach become brittle and can break. Be careful when moving the vacuum lines around at the front of the engine. Inspect all the vacuum lines becasue they become brittle and can break.

Pop the various throttle linkages off with a 10mm open end wrench and lube them with grease.

i have re-greased the throttle linkage, george murphy has always reminded me of that. just pull the seals off i guess to the bottom of the injector. heard of people using fuel hose for seals is that a good idea?

NO!! The seals are cheap. Look at the seal it has a lip, that seals it.

those seals are no more than $3.00 a pce and new cups with o rings are just as cheap.also buy the air distribution hoses for each side as they will be petrified and will break as you pull the cups off them.i do this job on an everyday basis.call me if you wish.

Well you have done part of the job,Keep going this is not a hard job to do,I removed all of the system down to the heads, though you do not have to go this far. You can rebuild the intake air plenum and idle air lines and the injector o-rings(seals) and the cups and be pretty sure you got the system tight(no leek)Good luck JNT
