Bad front left tire vibration...Help
I have a 1987 "420SEL" and I just had my timing chain, front left bushing, ball joints and engine mounts replaced. On my drive home from the mechanic, I hit a slight bump at 50mph and I felt a bad vibration in my front left side and the steering wheel. It scared the crap out of me and I had to drive no more than 40mph for fear of getting the bad vibration. I can't return the car until tuesday morning to the mechanic. What might this be?

vibration
Use the advanced search for; Control arm bushings, and the name Stevebfl.
There are a bunch of threads for improperly installed (or worn) control arm bushings which cause a shake at 55 that may disappear at 65..(like mine).

In theory it could also be the tire. Although this is usually caused by a large bump not a slight bump. And I would think a tire you could feel at 40 also. You could jack up the tire and spin it just to make sure it is still round.
