Front end click
I need a little help with a problem. I have a 1982 300sd (126 body) and I seem to get a "click" noise or a quiet pop sound when I go over bumps - like small pot holes or bad pavement cracks. It seems to be coming from the firewall near the passenger side of the car, but I don't know exactly, and I can't see anything obviously broken.
Thanks for you assistance, Corey

your type of problem can only be resolve accurately if you send it to a mechanic who would know how to detect where the noise is coming from.

Just before hitting a bump, press the brake pedal slightly. If the noise goes away, what Len says is on the money.
