The SRS systen on cars thru 1987 have 2 voltage supply control units that power the system. One of these units that has a 2 pin connector seems to fail most of the time. On these cars the CRASH sensor(computer) doesn't require replacement when the air bag is deployed like the 1988 & later cars. Only a complete test with test adaptor will tell what the problem actually is.
