I have new cruise control for my 300E 1987 and need to replace broken one. How to do it properly?

sorry for not clear question - I just need to replace broken cruise control switch (behind steering wheel)

Take out the steering wheel (remove the center star on a NON airbagged wheel and unscrew the loctite-d Allen (sp?) bolt). Remove the lower dash panel to get to the connector of the cruise control switch (at the left side of the steering column). Remove the cruise control switch (and probably the combined switch for indicator and windscreen washer to get out the wire harness with connector).
