SMOG question for CA cars...
If I reset the CEL with the OBDII computer will my car pass the smog test (assuming all is well with the exhaust gases)?
I ask since.... 1. I get the P0505 code (Idle System Malfunction) caused by a bad ETA (seem to only matter while in P or N and idling) 2. the technician informed that he only checks the CEL functionality when the ignition is turned on and that 3. the car is dynoed only at 15 and 25 mph during the test.... Thanks,

Yes, as long as the lamp is out then they should pass the car IF the dyno emissions are low enough.
