88 300E A/C compressor is on !

Hallelujia the compressor is working. I disconnected the aux. water pump and it kicks on and off just fine, but no cold air. At first I thought that I could smell freon, but it went away. When I bought the car, one of the leads from the red sensor on the drier was disconnected, the drier is sitting there loose not screwed down, the aux fan resistor is loose and cracked, and I could not get the aux fan to run by jumping the terminals on the temp. sensor on the head. Also there is a ground wire from the negative battery terminal to the monovalve connector. What should I do next?

First what is an aux. heat pump?

The disconnected sensor lead at the drier? That sensor turns on the fans (low).

I meant to say aux. water pump. Error noted and edited, thanks. I connected the red sensor and there was no fan working. I have a single fan in my car. I should really jump it from the battery to see if it works at all.
