K-Jetronic (also called CIS, Continuous Injection System) is primarily a mechanical fuel injection system. It started off as just "K-Jetronic", then Bosch added an O2 sensor and frequency valve and it became "K-Jetronic with Lamda Control." It's final incarnation was "KE-Jetronic" which had a differential pressure regulator built into the side of the fuel distributor.
ALL of the variations use a fuel distributor and ALL of the variations use mechanically actuated (by fuel pressure) injectors. Injection pressure is @70 psi and ALL the injectors spray
continously.
Lot's of info out there on the web if you care to check.
