S320 Mirror close assist failure

Good Morning everybody.
I have a 1996 S320. After the door check failed and the door was closed with the window down (ouch) I had the car in the Goodyear shop. Even though I told them not to open the window they did and now the door assist and outside mirror (both drivers side) don't work. Any input what might affect both these items simultaneously. Seat adjustment works fine, door skin repaired and window works fine. Door lock works fine as well. I would appreciate any input.
