W124 chrome fender trims for wheel wells

Hi all w124 owner,

do you have chrome fender trims for wheel wells as such

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-W124-E320-300E-300CE-320E-E420-fender-trims_W0QQitemZ130109052738QQihZ003QQcategoryZ42611QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I am not sure whether to adorn my car with them; I'm concerned that the car could become too flashy. Are you satisfied with the "upgrade"? would you recommend? please post pix of your car.

Thanks for all inputs.

I like the way it looks. (provided you don't have one hundred other extra chrome trims)
I am thinking in one for my C280.
What inhibits me: drilling holes & rust.

Thumbs down

Funny thing about those is everytime I worked on a car that had them, the car was always shiny and clean, but the mechanicals of the car were neglected to beat the band..

.... Wheel " BLING "

Wheel Arch Moldings in Chrome

Just a Reccomendation from what I have seen:

DO NOT INSTALL ON YOUR W124, W126, OR W140 MERCEDES CHASSIS!!!!

Rust is VERY prone to forming under the wheel arch moldings. If you install them, use a rubberized undercoating on the backing to seal the job. You do not want water to get behind the molding.

So far more cons than pros, looks like I am not going to do it.
