I had a chance to replace the upper control arms and the sway bar bushings this past weekend. The noise has continued to improve but I still get some "knocking" when I drive over uneven surfaces.

As per the suggestions, I checked the bearings and made sure the lugs were secure when I put the wheels back on so those do not appear to be the problem.

The other suggestion concerned the shocks. The shocks are about 3.5 years old (Bilsteins). Is there something I should be looking for specifically to determine if these are the source of the noise?
