w210 spring perch

what are the chances that both sides will fail. on my recently purchased w210 the righ side failed back in 2004 and was repaired by the dealer. will the left side be next?

That depends on how good a job they did on the right one.

My understanding is the replacement is supposed to be rivited on and a brace added. The kit comes with special high strength rivits. But some guys weld them on. That is not the Benz recommendation for the repair.
