1988 420sel
i've never experienced this.
the car has sat for 2 or 3 years after a major amount of work. so now i would like to start it and put it inside [had some vandalism last nite] trouble is the engine won't hardly move. just a bit and then extremely slow. so my ? is. is there any reason with a MBZ that this can happen. you can clearly hear the voltage start. i even have it on boost and the engine turns like the second hand on a clock. it ran just fine when i parked it. any suggestions. tks craig

When was the last time you tried to start it? If it was more than a year ago and you havn't been using a battery tender, the battery is probably shot. I experienced this with my 420 when I first went to pick it up. It had sat for a year and a half having never been driven and the battery (which was only two years old) was bad.

See if you can pull a good battery from another car save your money or even take it to auto zone have it tested, what ever makes it work.
