My wife's 1999 SLK won't start, it has not been driven in about 2 months. I had a charger on the battery so it has kept a good charge. It will crank like crazy and has good spark at the the plugs, but apparently isn't getting any fuel.
I sprayed some starting fluid in the Air intake and the car ran briefly, so I pretty much know it is a fuel problem.
When the key is turned to the start position there is a whirring sound from under the engine compartment that sounds like it might be the fuel pump.
Is it possible for the fuel line to plug from setting for 2 months in mild weather?
