1985 W123 Chassis Front Seat Removal, What Is The Trick?

Hello to all,

Can someone tell me what the trick to removing the front seats on my 1985 300 TD is? I have loosened the three bolts I can find, two front bolts, and the bolt on the slider arm on the driveshaft cowling between the two rear seats. So now what? Thanks for your help, The Kid

There should be four bolts to undo.

There is a bolt on the outboard rear of the seat mount. Keep looking. It is either there or someone removed it before you. All bolts are 10mm heads.

Front two bolts are seen when the seat is all the way back. To see the rear bolts, you need to move the seat forward all the way AND all the way up. Up is what that handle on the outside of the seat is for. Sit in the seat, lift the handle, and move forward. The seat will go up.

Remove the plastic covers on the rear of the seat posts and remove bolts.

I believe each of these cars are the final production year for that model.
