what transmissions can fit in the 80' 500 SE?

Any M116/M117 transmission will work...

I take it you are looking for used in which case I would look for an 89 and later 560 box.

If I know exactly what you were looking for I could answer specifically.

Is it used you seek? Re-Manufactured?

There are a few re-builders out there...some are better then others.

I'm not a big fan of used transmissions unless you know the history of the car it came from.
