misfiring 2004 C230 K

My 2004 C230 K started rough idling just before pulling into my garage tonight. Obd II codes p0301-4 (misfiring cylinders 1-4) My father thinks possible electrical/ignition problem? Is this a MAF failure/problem? I need help understanding what is going on and what to do.

ON that engine I would start with a COMPRESSION test!

That engine has valve sticking problems..service bulletin.

If that checks out GOOD then a bad MAF is a very good possibility.
