B2 piston help please

I don't know why but the B2 piston cover is stuck. Im trying to replace the piston but i can't get to it and I cant push in the covor at all. just to make sure im looking at the right thing is the covers part number 123 277 0103? if it is then what should i do about it being stuck?

no idea on part number but it's the cover closest to the output shaft (and bigger of the two piston covers).

try tapping on it with a rubber mallet to loosen up any stubborness that's built up over the years.

yeah thats the one ive been trying. I was trying to use a small metal pole to force it in by using part of the underside of the car as a fulcrum. would a rubber mallet be more effective?

a little bit of vibration can be more effective than static brute force.

what's the state of the lockring around it? or can you not even see it since the piston won't move?
