How do I install the rivet link on a timing chain - '89 300SEL

I'm in the middle of replacing the timing chain, guides, etc. on my '89 300SEL. The new timing chain has a rivet-type master link. I've never used one of these before. I would appreciate any tips on how to install this type of link. Also, if I'm going to need a chain riveting tool to do this, is there a specific size or type I need?

While I have the front of the engine, I thought I'd replace the oil pump chain and tensioner/rail as well. I was able to find the chain from my usual source, but they didn't have the tensioner/rail for the oil pump chain. It looks to be made out of the same plastic that the timing chain rails are made of (which I now know routinely break). Any pointers on where I can get that tensioner rail for the oil pump chain would also be appreciated.

Thanks.
-Brett
