202 C230-K with hubcaps?

I saw a W202 C230 kompressor with hubcaps like or similar to this-

Was this a US option?

I see lots of late W202s (98 and up) around with those hubcaps. I think it was standard issue on base C230s.

Had similar styled hubcaps on W124's and W201's.
Also there were two different styles of hubcaps on W126's.
Even some base, base model W210's had hubcaps.

All depending on world market.
