W202 wiper re-synchronizing - how?

hello,

After replacing the bracket where the wiper motor and the wiper arm mounts onto, the wiper does not know how to park itself (washer and intermittent settings) and I have to manually park the wiper using the low or high settings and switch it back to "0" when the wiper is in the correct position to stop the wiper from parking right in my view (i.e. the system does not "attempt" to park the wiper after I turned the switch from LOW to 0, the wiper just stops) . My friend said it might need "resynchronizing" via the ECU but he does not know how.

Does anyone know how to reset the park position on a W202 wiper system? This is off a W202 C36.

The park position is built into the motor itself. AS soon as the key is turned on there should be power to the motor to allow it to park.

oh then the motor is broken then.

Coz it doesn't try to park when key is on and when intermittent is chosen it sweeps 90 degrees giving me that DTM look hahaha.

hmmmm 300 dollars for a new motor.... I'll just park it myself for that money.

Check you haven't dislodged one of the motor wires when you had it out, it sounds like the park wire is disconnected somehow. Also check the plug is connected properly and is making good contact.
