No heat - W124 2.8 M104
I know it's summer and most of the ACC posts here are on cooling, but I have the opposite problem - there's no heat in my W124. Within the past two weeks I've changed a not insignificant part of my car's cooling system (radiator and water pump) along with the air pump on my 2.8 litre M104, and it was after all of this work I noticed that I had no heat. I have plenty of cold air, it's nice and cool in the cabin, but no hot air.
I replaced the water pump after it started leaking coolant from the seal - as I had to pull the pump to get to the seal, I figured I may as well replace the entire pump. There was a short time (less than 30 minutes) when the car ran with very little coolant in it just before the water pump was replaced - my theory was that a lack of coolant could have damaged the duovalve, so no hot coolant is flowing into the heat exchanger. Alternately, I could have air trapped inside the heat exchanger. Anyone have any suggestions?
