remote outside rearview mirror motor/gears, sl500

98 sl 500

remote outside rearview mirror
Had car washed, mirror out of adjustment. went to adjust and all it did was click click click. Pushed mirror in proper position. The mirror adjusts out, but not in, and up and down work.

Any suggestions??
