Should the Transmission Dip Stick have a slight bend? Mines does. How many quarts of transmission fluid will this model hold?
P.S. I have gotten some very good information here at mercedes shop. If anybody knows, this is the place to ask!

I have a 87 420SEL and the dip stick is strait, the manual lists 8.9 liters for a fill and 7.9 liters to a oil change. I think a liter is just short of a US quart
|

Transmission Dip Stick - '86' 420SEL
You were oh so correct! There was something wrong with my dip stick. I was able to find another one in the salvage yard, for $10.00. My transmission fluid was fine. Thanks!

Transmission Dips stick/Differences
Can you tell me what the differences are on the 420SEL's, starting from 1986 thru 1989? Are is there a website that you can refer me to, so I can see the differences? Thanks!
