CAMSHAFT Position sensor

Hello,

I am trying to find the cam shaft position sensor on a 2001 ML320 V6. I found a sensor that looks like it might be the one on the passenger side front of Head just under where the cam would sit. Is this it? I have searched the forums and references to pictures seem to be outdated links that don't work.

You can find a picture at "Buy parts" above, under engine mechanical.

Thanks but I have it figured out now.

I read everything i could before posting. One thing I noticed is that everyone who asks about the camshaft sensor ends up getting information on the crank sensor which is completely different. My ML died a couple of time yesterday and wouldn't restart until about 15-20 minutes latter. This problem did trigger the check engine light. I scanned it and the only code that was thrown was bad camshaft position sensor or faulty wiring.

BTW, I did find the sensor and checked the connection which was good and clean. I called the dealer who wanted $187.00 plus tax and then found the MB OEM sensor online for $88.00 plus $10 to ship.
