I recently bought a 1983 380 sel. This is the first Mercedes I've owned though I've driven a few belonging to friends. I had forgotten how big the steering wheels are. Is there another genuine Mercedes steering wheel that would fit and look right but be a smaller diameter? I'm a big guy and fitting my legs under the wheel when getting in or out is a challenge.

I had the same situation in the early 80's when I bought a new Volvo 264. The solution was to replace it with the steering wheel from the GT model, which was exactly the same but a smaller diameter.
