W210 hood latch / catch

OK, parts gurus...I need a hand. My W210 ('98 E-class) hood is not shutting adequately. It has the center catch (with the pull release once you "pop" the hood), which is fine. On each side of the hood, near the headlights, it has a mechanical latch. The hood metal itself has a D-square metal loop, and built into the front of the car are the latches that catch it when you shut the hood. The passenger side seems to have broken a spring, and as a result the latch doesn't catch the hoop anymore.

Anyone replaced that spring, or else that whole part? I'd love a part number to take to the dealership. I leave the end of this week on a big road trip, and I can't stand watching the hood wiggling a little at highway speeds on the passenger side.

Thanks!
Cheers, John

Disregard. Part was $31 wholesale. Turns out when I took it apart, I didn't even need the latch. The cable was simply too tight, putting pressure on the release, not letting the passenger side latch down properly. Bent a little here, adjusted a little there, bolted it back together and called it done.

Cheers, John

Hi John,
Can you share the part #?
I'm having the same problem with the 'latch' on the passenger side not catching.
The center and driver side are fine.
When I looked and felt under the passenger 'latch', it seems the cable snapped.
It looks like there are just 2 bolts that hold the latch mechanism in place.
Any other tips or advise is appreciated.
thx,
Joe
