ABS Light going on and off

I have a 1989 260E. Every now and then, the ABS light comes on and when it does, the car runs rough. It stays on for various lengths of time, then just goes off for no apparent reason and all is well again. Does anyone know the cause of this? Is it a voltage issue?

Bad OVP relay - access panel behind the battery, fuse on top of it. Internally, cold solder joints, a chronic problem.

What does OVP stand for? Is this some kind of fuse?
