Power seat motor in '99 CLK430
I have a '99 CLK430 in which the front passenger seat no longer moves back & forth; I can feel the motor clicking but no motion (other adjustments on the seat still work). The seat is now stuck in a far forward position. I do not seem to find seat motors available as a replacement part, does this mean I am looking at replacement of the entire seat ? If so, is this difficult to do ?

Hi,
Did you do a search? There was a thread recently with a similar problem: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=194515 You could search on "power seat" and see what comes up, or even CLK430 seat Mike

Thanks I did see that post and will check but didn't think there was a flexible shaft in my configuration. Sounds like it's worth removing the seat and checking for any other motor/drive connection problems though, I think this happened due to an object that was jammed under the seat so maybe the motor is good only the connection to drive mechanism is bad.
