A/C repair tape?

Have an A/C leak on the tubing that bends from the drier to the radiator.
Anyone know if they make a repair tape to at least temporarily control the
leak? Like to get through the summer before taking it to a mechanic.

No. No one makes tape for that. 300psi is more than most tapes deal with. With only a couple of pounds of refrigerant to begin with the system begins to suffer when only one half pound leaks out, tape wouldn't buy you enough time to make it worth while if the leak is big enough to be a problem now.

Besides, if you've got an A/C line running to the radiator, you've got bigger problems. The radiator is for coolant, not refrigerant.

If a refrigerant leak could be fixed with tape, I'd be unemployed!!!

Wal-Mart would include a 100 ft. roll of it in their diyer R134a recharge kits.

I wonder if they make a tape for blown head gaskets?

Don't laugh, I've seen it tried. Why on earth anyone would remove a head, tape up a gasket, and then reinstall the head, I have no idea. And then they think I'm lieing to them when I tell them that the problem is a blown head gasket...
