'99 E320 Rear Window Mechanism Repair or Replacement

I took off the door panel using the YOUTUBE site video instruction posted from Raymond on this site. Thank you so much. First time I have been on the YOUTUBE site. the directions were a snap to follow.

I isolated the rear window problem, after removing the door panel, to a broken window cable. I played with it for an hour after removing the motor (which works) trying to unraveling the window cable. I finally realized the cable was jambed at the top pulley where I couldn't get at it.

1.) How do I proceed?

2.) Importantly, how do I remove the window from channel it sits in w/o breaking it?

3.) After the window removal, do I drill out the rivets that hold the carrage (cabling, 2 pulleys, cable take up spool, elevation track, and the channel that holds the window pane)? I hope you can understand me, as I'm using laymans terms to describe this unit.

4.) Where can I source a replacement assembly, or can I respool the unit with a new cable?

Please advise me as a novice. this is my first Benz that I just bought. (1999 E320 w/ 100K miles)

Thanks everyone,
Mike
