Any comments would be appreciated....
As all W126 owners know, we normally have 2nd gear start from stop - unless we "fool" the tranny by putting it in "B" momentarily and then back to drive while at the stop. I guess we owe our misfortune to the mpg fanatics of the '80s. Is there any way, short of messing with the tranny, that we can always get 1st gear stop? Any ideas? Signed: Slow in So. Florida!! |

Recently, I posted the electrical way I have done this for years. Another reply stated they had produced a black box doing the same thing with less connections. Sounded like a good idea to me. Check the archives or maybe the other respondant can reply again.

The person you are referring to is Satish from http://www.mbcoupes.com. They have done a lot of work over there and are in the process of producing a kit that they will sell to anyone interested.
