C280 Transmission Exchange vs. Rebuild

I have a 1995 C280 w/240k miles that will no longer go into reverse gear (unless I 'gun' the engine). What are your thoughts on a transmission exchange versus rebuilt? I don't plan on keeping the car more than a year. Thanks!

When I had to change my tranny out in the ML, I found it cost about the same to get a rebuilt guaranteed one from a place called Phoenix Hard Parts vs a junkyard trans.
