1990 300SEL w126 Missing some parts! (pics) help!

I recently purchased a 1990 300SEL at a local auction. When I got it home I realized that some parts had 'disappeared' while on the auction lot. I am not sure exactly what the parts that are missing are, so I need some help! Here are the photos of where the parts are missing...

http://dasche.com/mercedesshop/1990_300sel_missing_parts2.JPG

The first photo was taken of the engine bay, right against the firewall in front of the driver. There is an empty socket (arrow) there. What is supposed to go there?

The second photo was taken of the front of the passenger side footwell area, under the carpet. There are 2 sockets there that are missing parts. I think one of them may be the cruise control module, but I would like to know for sure. Also, in this photo is a wire (arrow) that just ends. There was a second identical one that I removed that went from fuse #8 in the fuse box to that spot in the photo and just ended. I am not sure where this one goes, but it ends here. Any ideas? BTW, fuse #8 is a 16A(red) fuse for the adjustable heated outside mirrors, rear cigar lighter, safety belt handover arm, and (rear seat heating).

I have not been able to get the car to start yet. I discovered that there was no fuel getting to the engine. I figured it might be the fuel pump, as the one on the car was very corroded. I replaced the pump and filter with a spare I had, but still nothing. I checked the voltage going to the fuel pump. There was nothing. I have not been able to find the fuel pump relay to check that. Is the FPR one of the missing parts? If not, where would I find it, or is there something else I should look for?

Any help would be appreciated! If you have actual part numbers of the parts that I am needing, that would be awesome! Thanks!

I would take the pics to the MB dealer parts department and have them hash it out for you. This way you would have the correct part numbers for your year and make of car.

Hope This Helps!

Thanks for your response. I took the photos to the dealer. The guys in the parts department had no idea, and the mechanic looked at it but couldn't give me a for sure answer. They even had the VIN. He said it looks like it may be the fuel pump relay missing in photo #1, but that is a different pin configuration than I have seen on a fuel pump relay. It has 4 large pins, 2 at either end, and 15 smaller pins between them (plus 3 empty spaces). The mechanic said the other sockets were most likely for a cruise control/climate control module.
Even if I could just get the name of the part that is supposed to go there, or even a part number from the same part on someone's w126, then I would have a place to start with the dealer. Thanks.

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for your help! This info will definately give me somewhere to start!
Thanks for the link to the site juribe2. I have no idea what a lot of the site says, (it's all Greek to me!) but the diagrams are great. I will definately bookmark it.
Thanks for the photo las769! This is my first S-Class, so it's a little different than what I've worked with before. The photos really help! Also, thank you for the offer to pm you for help in the future. I will probably take you up on that!
