W208 Conv Top Switch Crumbled

on my friend's 2000 CLK 320 cabrio. He asked me to find him a new one and replace it, but so far it looks like a dealer only part. Does anyone know how to remove the wood to get to it? BTW, dealer here in Ft. Lauderdale wants 400 bucks!
