1998 clearcoat peeling

I bought this wagon from a Texas grandma - the 1998 wagon was a garaged one - evidence of this can be found (1) no fogging of headlights, (2) no dash cracks, (3) no sunburn anywhere on paint or interior. It's never been repainted or had body work (that I can find - I'm vigilant), but I noticed some clearcoat peeling up the uppermost window frames on both front doors (left and right). This car is a commuter, so I don't care too much, but I also know that clearcoat should not be peeling on a 1998 Benz - too soon.

Will MB warranty any of their factory paint work? Slim to none?
