1995 E320 throttle flap actuator

Check engine light is on in the car. No signs of any strange behaviour. The car runs beautifully but was brought to an MB dealer for a diagnosis.
Reads a 022 code for throttle flap actuator. Dealer says the part has to be replaced at a cost of $3450!!! Just wondering if this part can be cleaned and/or lubricated and if this is common? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
