W202 no start

well! removing the roof lining necessitated removing the rear view mirror and the cabin light console. once the roof lining was out, i reconnected these items in an attempt to lock the vehicle. the car would not lock. i locked it manually, and attempted to unlock it. it wouldn't.

and now it won't start. the immobiliser must be armed.

the remote was working perfectly mere minutes before the rear view mirror was removed, so i doubt its faulty.

what can i dooooo?

still no luck! maybe i should replace the batteries just in case.... but i can't see how they could go flat during the hour i spent removing the roof lining panel! is the system affected at all by having disconnected the mirror?

Do you mean it won't crank at all or it's trying to? Describe the start symptom in details.
